Here follow more facts bout Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes:
  • There are 2 types of diabetes, i.e. Diabetes Type 1 and Diabetes Type 2
  • Diabetes Type 1 occur in children and teenagers and is hereditary in nature 
  • Diabetes Type 2 is also referred to as "adult-onset is caused through lifestyle factors occur in adults but also in children with weight problems
  • Diabetes affect millions of people world-wide.Sadly, many people already have diabetes but do not know it yet
  • Diabetes causes loss of feeling especially in the feet, and also cause ulcers/sores/wounds to heal very slowly or with difficulty
  • Diabetes cause loss of eyesight and kidney function as the capillary veins in these organs are affected
  • Daibetes can lead to amputation of limbs such a the toes and legs
  • Diabetes cannot be reversed
  • Diabetes Type 2 can be prevented through a healthy lifestyle
  • Diabetes need to be detected early before damage is done to the eyes and kidneys
  • It is possible for people with diabetes to live a normal lifestyle - and even play sport - provided that the blood sugar levels are controlled through medication, a healthy diet and regular exercise
